GRAMMAR

PRESENT CONTINUOUS

Affirmative:                                                     

I am working
you are working                                                                 
he/ she/ it  is working                                                       
we/ you /they are working          
                                        

Negative:   

I am not  working
you are not (aren't) woring
he/ she/ it is not (isn't) woring
we/ you /they are not (aren't) working

Interrogative:

Am I  working ?
Are You  working ?
Is he/ she/ it working ? 
Are we/ you/ they working ?


Uses: 

  •  An action which is happening now
  •  A temporary action
  •  A definite plan for the near future 
  • terminations:  -e : ride -- riding   ;  -y : pay--paying   ;  -ie : die--dying  ;  
  •  doubles the consonant except  w and x : v + c : run--running  ;  -l or -p : travel -- travelling
  • With the adverbs "always" to denote complaint : "he is always telling me what to do"

Adverbs of frequency / Time expressions 

now, right now, at the moment, tonight, tomorrow, this evening, next Friday/ week/ year/,  this year, st present, today, these days, this month.


Examples 

My sister is working as a tour guide. 
Alex is travelling north now
They are learning to ski this year
