BE GOING TO

Affirmative:                                                     

I am going to work

Negative:   

I am not going to work

we/ you /they are not going to work

Interrogative:

Am going to work ?
Are You  going to work ?

Uses: 

  • A planned action for the future
  • An action that is about to happen 

Adverbs of frequency / Time expressions 

this evening, later, in an hour, at 4 o'clock, tomorrow, soon, next month/year, in a few weeks, on 8th May.


Examples 

Mark is going to visit the robot exhibition this evening
Be careful!  You are going to burn your finger!
 They aren’t (are not) going to eat
